If you like walking then you will find this a fabulous place to stay. We are surrounded by a network of footpaths and we can advise you of all the best ways to go. We know them and walk them regularly ourselves.

You can walk to the sea at Pett Level where there is a pub to have lunch or a beach to enjoy. The walk takes an hour and a half and does not involve any road walking at all. There are alternative return routes.

You can walk to Winchelsea along the Military Canal where there are two pubs to choose from. You could continue, all on footpaths, to Rye and beyond.

Alternatively, if you prefer to cycle, there is no shortage of places to visit and wonderful sights to take in.
